Remembering Her Majesty The Queen

We are deeply saddened at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

We join the rest of the UK in mourning the loss of our longest-serving monarch. Much loved and hugely respected, she dedicated her life in service to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. May she rest in peace.

GCSE Results at Axe Valley Academy 2022

Posted: 25 August 2022

At Axe Valley Academy we are delighted with a fantastic set of GCSE results this year. We have had the pleasure of working with an extremely dedicated and resilient year group who have worked tirelessly to ensure they achieved the best grades possible. We would like to congratulate every single student on their individual results.

We are proud of every single student however we would like to celebrate the outstanding performances of Alice Turner and Amber Morgan who both achieved a set of grades that were approximately 2 grades higher than their targets. In addition, Innes Fitzgerald, Florence Rogers, Ellie Carter, Joel Jeffries, and Stephen Johns all achieved some of the highest grades across all subjects with Innes and Florence achieving four 9 grades each. Of particular note, is the number of grade 9s that our students achieved which were above their target grades. For our students to perform above expectations like this makes us incredibly proud.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated staff team who have gone to exceptional levels to support our students, our parents who have unwaveringly supported the school and our incredible Year 11 students. We wish them every success for the future and look forward to seeing their next steps in their educational journey.

New Absence Reporting Procedures

Posted: 31 March 2022

From Thursday 31st March we are introducing a new streamlined approach to reporting your child’s absence from school.

We would very grateful if all absences could now be reported by completing the online form via the school website.

The ‘Absence Notification form’ can be found on the ‘contact us ‘ page Axe Valley Academy | Contact Us  and the ‘ Absence and Attendance’ page Axe Valley Academy | Absence and Attendance . If, for any reason you are unable to do this, please call Reception on 01297 32146 and they will guide you through the form.

If you wish to speak to someone about your child’s absence there is a ‘request a call back’ option on the form.

The form will need to be completed for each day of your child’s absence.

As an additional safeguarding check, you will be required to input your email address on the form. We will send a confirmation email to this address. In addition, we will check this is the same contact email that we hold for you on the school’s database.

We thank you in advance for your support in this new system

Additional Holiday (4th July)

Posted: 23 March 2022

This year there is an additional bank holiday to commemorate HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Friday 3 June 2022. This falls within the summer half-term from 30 May to 3 June and Axe Valley along with most schools will be closed for that week.

Consequently, schools have been allowed to nominate another day within the academic year to take in lieu of that bank holiday. Axe Valley Academy has selected the 4th of July and the school will be closed for that day.
