New Absence Reporting Procedures

Posted: 31 March 2022

From Thursday 31st March we are introducing a new streamlined approach to reporting your child’s absence from school.

We would very grateful if all absences could now be reported by completing the online form via the school website.

The ‘Absence Notification form’ can be found on the ‘contact us ‘ page Axe Valley Academy | Contact Us  and the ‘ Absence and Attendance’ page Axe Valley Academy | Absence and Attendance . If, for any reason you are unable to do this, please call Reception on 01297 32146 and they will guide you through the form.

If you wish to speak to someone about your child’s absence there is a ‘request a call back’ option on the form.

The form will need to be completed for each day of your child’s absence.

As an additional safeguarding check, you will be required to input your email address on the form. We will send a confirmation email to this address. In addition, we will check this is the same contact email that we hold for you on the school’s database.

We thank you in advance for your support in this new system

Additional Holiday (4th July)

Posted: 23 March 2022

This year there is an additional bank holiday to commemorate HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Friday 3 June 2022. This falls within the summer half-term from 30 May to 3 June and Axe Valley along with most schools will be closed for that week.

Consequently, schools have been allowed to nominate another day within the academic year to take in lieu of that bank holiday. Axe Valley Academy has selected the 4th of July and the school will be closed for that day.

Examination Results 2021

Posted: 12 August 2021

“I am delighted to be able to congratulate of all of our incredible students receiving their examination results today. The staff at Axe Valley could not be prouder of the hard work and dedication they have shown to their studies across their time here, but in particular over the last 18 months. Once again we have seen a fantastic attitude from a really incredible cohort and as such we are able to celebrate hard earned results with them. In particular I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all staff, parents and carers for their exceptional support and guidance which has helped to shape this year group who will again leave a legacy of hard work, determination and kindness.”

Mrs Laura Jenkins, Headteacher

If students have questions regarding their examination results then please contact Mr Cumming ( to discuss.
