Odd Sock Day Monday 13th November 2017
ODD SOCK DAY MONDAY 13TH NOVEMBER
To support anti-bullying week we are joining in to promote this years theme of “ALL DIFFERENT, ALL EQUAL”.
On Monday 13th November students are therefore asked to wear odd socks to school. The brighter and more bizarre the better. If your child usually wears tights, they are allowed to wear their odd socks over their tights. There is no charge for this event, we are simply trying to raise awareness of issues surrounding equality and diversity.
Please, no comedy slipper socks because feet will possibly get wet and students will be uncomfortable all day!
As Anti-Bullying Ambassadors we are working hard to promote an anti-bullying ethos at Axe Valley. Other activities during the week include; painting a mural in the Learning Support Department and asking every student at our Academy to design a postcard with an equality / diversity theme. The post cards will be displayed in the quad and/or the canteen, depending on the weather forecast.
Please encourage your child / young person to wear odd socks on Monday 13th November.
Thank you in advance for your help and support.
