Macmillan cake sale
On Wednesday 28th September we as a 6th form held a “Sponge the teacher” event. We ran the event for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a charity that is close to me and my friend’s heart as my younger brother has the genetic condition. We had a cracking lunch time with the younger years getting involved! I would like to thank the teachers that all took part: Mr Weaver, Mr Perks, Mr Horn, Mr Leach, Mr Brookman, Mr Bowskill, Mr Green, Mrs Jenkins and also to my friends Issy and Charlie who didn’t mind getting a sponging! We made a total of: £130 for the trust.
On Thursday 29th we then held a Macmillan Bake sale in aid of their Big Coffee morning that they hold every year on the 30th. As we have an inset day on the 30th we decided to organise it for Thursday. To get around to the whole school I gathered some Mushroom baskets from work (Many Thanks to Le Pisani for that!) and some baler twine from Lucy (Thankyou!) to sell the cakes far and wide. We raised a total of: £200 for Macmillan. Thankyou to all that helped and bought a cake along the way!
