Chrissy Squire wins Youth Award

The Rotary Club of Axminster have  decided to present Christina Squire with the Rotary Club’s Bill Knapman award for services towards young people in the community.

She has been invited as a guest to an informal lunch to receive her certificate and a cheque of £100 for a charity of her choice.

Chrissy was nominated for the award by Mr Horn. Over the past two years she has volunteered to help with the girl guides in Seaton, organised the U16 netball team in Honiton and given up her own time to encourage participation in sport, both within and outside of school.

For work experience she has been with both Seaton and Axminster primary schools and now has 25 day of experience in schools helping teach young people.

She has worked also to help the Bio Diesel project succeed; it was with her involvement that allowed for the vast media coverage and presentations to important groups and the general public.

Chrissy has been an inspiration for community spirit and motivation to younger students.

So it is quite clear she deserves acknowledgement for all her volunteer work and everything else she has done to help others. Well done Chrissy.
