First Day Arrangements, September 4th 2019

Year 7 Students should make their way to the main school hall where you will be met by Mr Carr and then collected by their tutor.

All other years should make their way to their tutor groups for 8:45am so they can receive their timetables and the programme for the day will be explained.

GCSE Results 2019

Students at Axe Valley Academy are celebrating a fantastic set of GCSE results.  Student attainment has been maintained, building on the significant gains of 2018.  Over 70% of students achieved grade 4 or above in English and 76% of students achieved grade 4 or above in Maths. A remarkable 24% of all Maths grades achieved were Grades 7, 8 or 9; 12% of all GCSE grades achieved were Grades 7, 8 or 9, and 11% all of vocational grades were Distinction or Distinction*.

 

The top performing students were: Jessie Holmes (four grade 9s, two grade 8s, two grade 7s, one grade 6 and a Distinction*), Robin Ellis (three grade 9s, three grade 8s, two grade 7s and two grade 6s) and Ellie King (three grade 9s, two grade 8s, four grade 7s and one grade 6). Isabelle Coman, Simon Herbert and Daniel Rowe also achieved a grade 9 in one or more of their GCSE subjects; Sophie Brennan, Isabelle Coman, Daniel Rowe, Ella Shephard, Poppy Tooze, Louise Tyne and Patrick Tytherleigh achieved a Distinction or Distinction* in one or more of their vocational subjects.  In addition to these achievements, the following students have made the most progress since joining Axe Valley Academy: Ellie King, Ioan Nita, Poppy Tooze and Helga Hofrate. 

 
 

Students at Axe Valley Academy have worked so hard for their GCSEs this year and they should be incredibly proud of their achievements. These results are not only a testament to the commitment and hard work of students and staff but also the support of their parents.  We wish them well in the next step in their educational journey.

Sixth Form Results 2019

Year 13 students at Axe Valley Academy Sixth Form are celebrating an excellent set of A Level and vocational results today.  Over 40% of students achieved the top grades of A/A* or Distinction/Distinction* in one or more of their subjects, a third of all grades were Grade A*-B or equivalent and over half of all grades achieved were Grade A*-C or equivalent.  Remarkable performances were evident in Performing Arts, ICT and Sport, where all students studying these subjects achieved Distinction or Distinction*.  

All of these results are testament to the commitment of both students and staff; we are proud of all our students’ achievements and wish them, our final sixth form cohort, the best of luck for the next steps in their lives.
